Signal Antenna Systems Inc. was founded in 1983 in Watsonville, California near Silicon Valley and the San Jose International Airport.
Background:
A small dynamic organization - SAS is dedicated to the design, development, and production of State of the Art Antennas and related Systems for Military, Aerospace, and Commercial applications. Since its beginning SAS approach has combined a strong Engineering Capability with well-developed Manufacturing, which allowed SAS to deliver advanced antenna products in quantity and at a reasonable cost. A prime example is work for NTC (National Training Centers) where SAS has provided nearly 20,000 Man-Worn and Base Station Antennas used in infantry training. Another example is our work on a large-scale Meteor Bounce Program, where SAS provided hundreds of apid-Field-Deployable Log Periodic and Omni Arrays.
Present and Future Vision:
Looking into the future SAS is determined to provide the best possible value to its customers by continuously improving our "Technology Stack" and product offerings. Engineering and design are migrating to the state of the art engineering design tools such as 3D ElectroMagnetic analysis software package, PCB design software, and 3D CAD design. This enables fully digital design from concept to finish of practically any custom antenna or system. Manufacturing ways and methods now include Additive Manufacturing (or 3D printing) of RF components and antennas as core expertise. Traditional manufacturing (with CNC machining) capability has been upgraded to allow routine manufacturing of parts operating at Ka-Band (up to 40 GHz).
